About this book

What is the space you live in asking of you? Jang Eun-jin records her time in Giyunjae, the house she and her husband spent sixteen months building — a house filled with light in the morning and darkness at night. Following the questions each space poses — a threshold that carries you past anxiety, a window that becomes a path of light, a tea room that is a world for two, a rooftop room for counting stars — readers come to see their own homes anew.

About the author

Trained as a designer and lived in many places — in a mountain temple, in the desert, abroad — before marrying, raising a child and building Giyunjae, the house she now lives in.
